Welcome to the Summer 2 term - the last half term of this academic year! It is always a busy half term so keep your eye on calendar dates. Please refer to the curriculum and class pages tab to know more about the pupils' learning.

Assessment

We will report your child’s progress using the ‘Assessment without levels’ system. The expectation is that the majority of children should be working at the ‘expected’ standard for their current year group by the end of the year. You will be notified of your child’s progress during the Autumn and Spring term Parents’ meetings and on your child’s end of year report.

 

Special Work (SATs)

SATs are now non-statutory however pupils will complete them in Summer 2 to inform their end of year assessment judgements.

Phonics Screening Check
 
Children in Year Two would have completed the Phonics Screening Check in Year One. If they did not pass the check, they are required to complete a re-screening in Year Two. This will be in June during the same week as the Year Ones.
