Pupil Parliament

At Windmill Hill Academy, we feel it is important that EVERY child has a voice. Therefore, each child is part of a Pupil Parliament group. The groups consist of: Outdoor area, Playground, Healthy Schools, Community and Charities, Rights Respecting and Visible Learning, Eco, School Forum. The pupils have the opportunity to choose which group they wanted to be a part of. The groups meet weekly and are led by lead pupils and adults. The lead pupils were voted for by the pupils in the school. Please see the outline below.
'Leaders have established a personal development curriculum in line with the school's values. They give pupils a voice through school parliament. Leaders ensure they make meaningful decisions. For example, pupils chose the charities the school raises money for.'
