Home Learning

Homework is a regular and intrinsic part of the year 6 programme. It will be in the form of English and Maths which will also include weekly spellings and x table practice. Regular reading is part of the homework programme and as Year 6 children we expect them to be responsible for this. We hope that you encourage your child to complete their homework as not only is it an important part of their learning, but it will also begin to prepare them for the increased amount they will receive at College. Homework will be given out on Fridays and will usually be expected in the following Thursday.

Pupils may also be asked to carry out various tasks at home linked to their topic work.

Revision Books
Year 6 pupils will shortly be given a Maths and SPAG revision book, which is to be returned after the SATs in May. Pupils are NOT expected to spend hours revising but they can use these books to help prepare them, and identify areas they may need help with in class.
All pupils will be expected to know their times tables up to 12 x12.
