We deliver as much of our curriculum as we can outdoors. Forest Schools is a chance for your child to experience nature and the outdoor environment in a safe and secure but hands-on way. It gives them the chance to relax and develop confidence whilst allowing carefully managed risks. They learn many practical skills but, more importantly, they also learn social skills, team-working and responsible risk taking.
The whole school takes part in a 6 week forest school block. Below is the timetable for this year.
Below is a leaflet explaining forest schools
All sessions will follow risk assessments carried out by our forest school leader Mrs Caroline Whitley.
We have a high ratio of adults to children during forest school session so If you are able to help with forest schools please speak to an adult that works in your child's class.
